is that we have every skill, background, and commitment level imaginable, but at the end of the day, we are all out having a blast and getting to continue to play the game we love at a championship level." - 2017 Badger Lacrosse Grad.
Badgers in action at Mad City
Wisconsin's three teams competing in the Great Lakes Lacrosse League (GLLL - http://www.glll.org) pride themselves on playing highly competitive lacrosse while keeping costs, travel and practice time relatively low. The academic demands of UW-Madison and other personal obligations of the players make the GLLL teams the right fit for our players. This formula allows for students to continue playing organized lacrosse while only committing two nights a week to practice. The GLLL teams generally travel together and schedule games to avoid conflicts with home football games and other major campus events.
Wisconsin’s GLLL teams are known as the “Red”, "White", and the “Grey” teams. GLLL games are played with regional teams such as Northwestern and NIU allowing short drive times.
The Wisconsin teams are a great fit for players who want to play on a skilled team, but want to have more time for their academics and other interests.
We compete for the Great Lakes Lacrosse League Championship. Regionally play top competition such as Michigan, Notre Dame, and Michigan State.
The high quality of our players and competition and low cost of our League play, make it affordable to offer optional travel trips to New Orleans, Maryland , Europe and more distant US Tournaments.
We'd be happy to talk to you and answer any questions you might have. Let us know and you could meet some of the players.
Spring GLLL play is most important, but we love competing in the Fall and Winter.
