Over 100 alumni from the Wisconsin Lacrosse team gathered in Madison to celebrate the team's 40th reunion. Players from all four decades of the team came for the fun packed weekend, including 6 from the original "Gladiator” team.

The festivities began with a Friday afternoon Alumni vs. the current team. Of course the Alums prevailed [or so they claimed proving that "Old age and treachery will always win out over youth and skill. "].  A great time was had by all - we would have kept playing, but eventually we ran out of daylight.
After a quick break to shower, we reconvened at the Essen Haus for our long tradition of Boots, Brats and pretzels - a time to renew friendships of a lifetime. Everyone was so happy to see their old buddies and meet their families. The night went late, but we all rallied in the morning for a big pre football tailgate followed by almost everyone going to see the Badgers dominate.

The evening plan commenced with the current team and the veterans all meeting for a huge Halbeque in Vilas Park. Too much food and and "refreshments"
was followed by our traditional fun awards. Many laughs and then a great video barrage of old game footage from years gone by. From there the group made their way to State Street where Roast [owned by a Lax Alum] closed down to host the alums along with the current women's and men's team.

The finale was a full team/alumni Sunday brunch at Eldorado Grill.  Lots of hugs and long goodbyes - so great to get everyone together. We're all looking forward to 2018 and the 45th reunion. Make your plans now!
