Welcome to the UW Women's Club Lacrosse Team Website!About the teamWe are an intercollegiate club team at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, competing in the Women's Collegiate Lacrosse League. The WCLL is the largest collegiate club lacrosse league for women and has an annual national tournament. Last year's schedule included games against Minnesota, Iowa, Northwestern, University of Chicago, Michigan, Michigan State, Central Michigan, Air Force, Ohio State, Kentucky, Knox, Wheaton College, and Augustana. Our team is run by captains, and practices three times per week. While most players have lacrosse experience, we welcome beginners to join the team. Our girls come from all over the US with members from New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Minnesota, Nevada, Wisconsin, California, Washington, Texas, etc. We are a fun group of girls who love the game of lacrosse! PracticesFall 2007 Practices will be held at the following times Winter Practice Schedule:
Spring practices will be held on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons from 4-6 and Sundays from 1:30-3:30 once the snow clears. If possible, try to make your schedule accomodate these practice times. We realize that school comes first but attending two practices a week will be mandatory if you would like to participate in tournaments! These practices will be held at the University Bay Fields behind the hospital. You can take Bus #80 (it's free!) from Memorial Union and get off in front of the hospital. TournamentsWe generally play in 3 or 4 fall tournaments and 5 or 6 spring tournaments including home tournaments in both the fall and the spring.Fall 2007 Schedule: Spring Schedule: DuesDues are $150 for the Fall and Spring semesters. If you are unsure of your commitment for the Spring semester you can pay for just the Fall, $75. Please make checks payable to University of Wisconsin Women's Lacrosse. You can give them to Al, Dre, or drop them off in the Women's Lacrosse mailbox at the Red Gym. Players are responsible for providing their own sticks and mouthguards. Uniforms and protective goggles are provided by the team. Anyone looking to join the team for the spring should contact Al or Dre so you can get the appropriate paperwork filled out before coming to practice!
